Examples of Energy Healing

If you hit your finger with a hammer, what is the first thing you do? I bet you hold it with your hand. Stub your toe? Sit down and hold it with your hands! Stomach ache? We hold our belly with our hands for soothing comfort. Headache? Toothache? You get the idea. We hold our own injured areas with our hands. A child with a bruise? A distraught or crying baby? We comfort them with our hands. In each case we bring healing energy and comfort, our own inner personal energy, or chi, ki, qi, from deep inside ourselves. We are all healers and always have been. This is why anyone can learn the formalized system called reiki and be successful at it, whether it is self-reiki or to heal others.

The difference is that when you are trained and attuned to reiki you are channeling the energy from outside of yourself. If you are not trained and attuned to reiki you are using your own inner, personal energy, and will feel tired and depleted of energy afterwards. Ever notice how you want to take a nap if you have hurt yourself or nurtured someone if they have been hurt or injured? If you are trained and attuned to reiki you feel energized.

This is reiki! What a gift to give and share!

The nature of frequency and vibration, intuition and instincts.

The nature of frequency and vibration, intuition and instincts.

The universe was created by and is made up of energy. All energy has a vibration and a frequency. Energy is in everything, our inner selves, our thoughts, our physical bodies and every single substance, everywhere and as such, so are its associated vibrations and frequencies. We follow and use vibration and frequencies to heal during a reiki treatment.

What to do, where to go and for how long in each session is communicated to us through our intuition and instincts as thoughts, and felt by us physically through subtle pulses, movements and urges in various parts of our bodies.

Positive energy has a higher vibration and negative energy has a lower vibration. Therefore, positive thoughts draw positive directives, ideas and outcomes to us just as negative thoughts draw negative directives, ideas and outcomes to us. From all thought and consciousness comes the event, the outcome, the form and the results. We are drawn towards the different levels of energy and vibrations based upon our thoughts and create our reality accordingly. Think good thoughts and outcomes, good things happen.

We all have unlimited creative potential in every aspect of our lives. This is often referred to as creative visualization. We can therefore use this incredible power of creative visualization and thought in our healing reiki treatments through our positive focused intention, simply by listening and paying attention with all our senses. This is available to everyone, but reiki provides us a format, a guided sequence and way to measure and work with it. Therefore, listen to your intuition, trust your instincts, and pay attention to what your body is telling you in each moment of every reiki session.

How to become an optimist

How to become an optimist

If you are reading this you are either curious, a borderline optimist or best of all, a hopelessly negative person who has been told several times to “stop being so negative!” Or maybe you want to see how you stack up against the Chief Optimist. I have often been called hopelessly optimistic to the point where I have wondered if this is a slam or even a derogatory remark or insult.
Becoming an optimist does not happen overnight. It takes hard work and effort, but it is worth it. You will become happier, healthier, have more friends, most likely get job promotions, and if dating, more dates.

The secret to becoming an optimist is to have the right combination of resources available at all times. In these modern times it includes but is not limited to an Internet connection, a Thesaurus, a dictionary and friends you trust with opposing views. Oh, and you have to watch the daily news, or at least some of it, or find out stuff on the Internet.

Ok, here’s the next step: Look for something positive in everything negative, every negative event, story, incident, shooting, occasion, dilemma and crisis you find, hear about, discover or are told. Find the good part, the silver lining, the ray of hope, the one thing that will make you see the good. Articulate about this using the right words, language, phrases and concepts. Discuss it with those holding opposing views for deeper insights. I am not saying to pretend the horrific didn’t happen or to stick your head in the sand. But I am suggesting that after it is all said and done, to focus on the positive.

When you talk about or share the story, highlight these positives. Argue for them. Share the hope, the love, and the best parts. Do not let the only focus be on the negative. Remember, we are what we think. Think good thoughts and stay positive by seeing and finding the positive. Watch the transformation that begins to happen in your life. You will see everything in a different light. You will attract all things positive into your sphere of influence and life. The wondrous Law of Attraction kicks in and you will be surrounded by positive events, people and optimism will rule the day. You will be healthier, happier and stronger.

This is how you become an optimist.
