Think About
The following protocols and procedures are recommended as a baseline to establish an effective healing session to heal Gaia. Changing the sequence and order and bringing in additional steps and healing tools are encouraged based on your experience, intuition and insights once you are comfortable with the initial protocols and steps.
Sit quietly and think about or meditate on your upcoming Gaianic healing session. Drink plenty of water ahead of time.
You may heal Gaia directly by placing your hands upon her, or you may hold an image of her in your mind and send healing energy anywhere through meditation, addressing her needs physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually, just as with a person or animal.
Name your intention, decide upon the framework you will use, where you will be, whether indoors or outside, and the healing tools you might use. Gather everything you need ahead of time.
Make yourself comfortable in your chosen energy setting, whether you are indoors or outdoors. Sitting outdoors with your bare feet on the Earth is great (Earthing), but not necessary. Arrange your healing tools around you for easy access. Take some deep cleansing breaths to center and ground yourself.
Eyes opened or closed based on your preference, visualize the Earth as a living, breathing entity, vibrant and full of life. See her floating in the air in front of you. Hold your hands in the Gassho, or prayer, position in front of your heart.
Call in the healing energy. This may take a few minutes of focus and concentration. Once you sense and feel the energy is present, you may begin your healing session based upon your framework, choice of healing tools and intention. You may create your own set of protocols for this based on your level of experience. There are no right or wrong sequences or steps.
This then becomes your personal opening ritual. Once established, it is helpful to be consistent. If not using Reiki, proceed to the section below the Reiki bullet-point instructions.
If using Reiki, you may follow the steps you have been taught. There are several variations of these. Here is one Reiki version that is very effective with Gaianic healing sessions.
- Place your hands in the prayer, or Gassho, position in front of your heart.
- Think, visualize or say out loud, Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen three times followed by the Master Reiki symbols, Dai Ko Mei Oh, three times as well.
- Raise your clasped and folded hands above your Crown and repeat Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen, three times again, and Dai Ko Mei Oh, three times again.
- While holding the image of the Earth in your mind’s eye, lower your clasped hands level with your forehead at the Third Eye chakra.
- Open your hands up in a butterfly position, thumbs touching, the back of your hands touching your forehead.
- As you visualize the Earth in front of you with your hands opened up, call in the Reiki energy once again by thinking, visualizing or saying out loud Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen three times followed by the Master Reiki symbols, Dai Ko Mei Oh, three times. Hold this image and position for a few more seconds and allow the energy of the Earth to be called in. Some people feel a slight throbbing, pulsing or coolness or heat in their hands.
- With the image of the Earth hovering in front of you, visualize or draw the Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen symbols on the Earth with one hand. When finished, clasp your hands together again in the prayer position and bow once to the Earth image, expressing gratitude.
If using your own protocols, ritual or the Reiki suggestions just listed, proceed as follows:
Bring your clasped hands back down to your heart. Continue holding the image of the earth in your mind’s eye.
While still at your heart level with your hands clasped in the prayer position, open your hands slightly away from each other, 8-15 inches apart as though you were holding a beach ball or basketball, supporting it by its sides. Imagine you are holding the Earth. Feel its energy pulsing between your hands. Allow your hands to move slightly inwards and outwards as though gently squeezing the ball or the Earth. Some people sense and feel the vibrant Earth-energy vibrating, humming, breathing, moving, contracting, coursing in and out. Connect with this energy. Rotate your hands in a circle, up, over and around this incredible sphere of energy, keeping the diameter and circumference the same as it connects and bonds with you, absorbing it into your heart. This movement is very similar to what one does in some Tai Chi exercises.
Once you feel this connection, gently move your hands together, fingertips touching, palms facing toward your heart and gently push this energy into your heart chakra. You become One with the Earth, with “All that Is”. Feel this, become aware of it, accept it, be it and express gratitude.
Hold this position for a few moments and feel the energy as it moves through you, up and down the chakras, along your meridians, the three principal Nadis, the Pingala, Ida and Sushumna, alerting your kundalini to its presence.
If appropriate, move your hands back to the prayer, or Gassho, position and invite any other healing entities to join you for the healing session. These might include your personal spirit guides, the Archangels or any entity of the Beneficial Light from your belief system. Express gratitude for their presence.
Next, turn your attention inward, to your intention, your healing goals for this healing session. This now becomes your focus.
If you are outdoors and able to physically place your hands on the ground, a tree or large rock or in a body of water, do so while focusing on the issue, the goal, your intention and the outcomes for your Gaianic healing session. Visualize success and how joyful you will feel with these outcomes. This raises your vibration and brings in abundant healing energy.
If you are indoors, hold an object from the Earth such as a stick, rock, a piece of bark, a flower or a houseplant, or a bowl of water, do so while focusing on the issue, the goal, your intention and the outcomes for your healing session.
If necessary, you can simply sit quietly and hold an image in your mind of anything connected to the Earth while focusing on the issue, the goal, your intention and the outcomes for your Gaianic healing session. All of these methods work with equal success since healing is tied directly to our intention and focus and does not require the physical object we are suggesting.
As your intuition suggests, bring forth your healing tools. These range from invoking the Reiki power symbol, Cho Ko Rei, opening up the Sei Hei Ki channel for Higher-Self communication, to your crystals, tuning forks, singing bowls, drums, rattles, chanting, toning or music, creative visualization, prayer, the Rosary, taking a Shamanic Journey or entering the Akasha. Everything works together. Everything has a vibration and a frequency that can be brought into play to heal in harmony. It is all from the same universal life-force Source, and can do no harm.
It is all about your intention. Healing energy follows thought, the spoken work and responds to our focus. The extra healing tools are brought in as enhancements based upon our intuition.
In order to get the most out of the healing tools it is suggested they are lovingly and sincerely used based upon your goals and intention for the healing session. Focus is very important at this juncture.
From all thought and consciousness comes form, the desired outcome. As you incorporate and use each healing tool, visualize the outcome as you focus on the intention. This allows the vibration and frequency to adapt and merge as needed to bring about the healing you desire.
A Gaianic healing session can be as short or as long as your intuition, instincts and available time suggests.
Closing a Gaianic healing session is simple. With your hands in the prayer, or Gassho, position visualize the image of the Earth hovering in front of you. This time, however, see it as fully healed, the desired outcomes based on your intention fulfilled. Bow to the Earth expressing gratitude for the experience and thanking any spirit helpers that might have joined the healing session.
Sit quietly for a few minutes and reflect upon the session. What worked and felt the best? What might you do differently next time? Drink some water.
Where to send the healing energy in a Gaianic Healing Session?
What we see and hear about the Earth affects us emotionally, particularly when it involves pollution, climate change and physical deprivations such as deforestation, oil and chemical spills, and ocean dumping. When we voice concern for the well being of Gaia and think about what is happening, it sets up an energetic channel to follow. Healing energy follows the spoken word and our thoughts.
Think about and name the issues you feel are adversely affecting the Earth, particularly if they are local and you can visit the actual sites. These are excellent places to do a Gaianic healing session. While this is not required or necessary for a successful healing, it allows our initial energetic selves to make a profound connection with Gaia. If possible, start with something local and expand out energetically and globally from there.
Some local suggestions include but are not limited to:
- A neighborhood park where all the trees have been cut down
- A local landfill
- A farm that uses chemical fertilizers
- A clear cut logging operation
- Building and construction sites
- Recycling centers
If doing a Gaianic healing session locally is not an option and even if your only choice is from an indoor setting, use your intuition to decide on any issues, place, idea or setting. Healing energy is always appreciated by Gaia with love, appreciation and gratitude.
